Race Info - Results
Date
Start Time
The Marathon and Half Marathon start together at 7:15am.
This allows friends and training partners to start together, even if
some are traveling 26.2 miles and others are stopping at 13.1 miles.
Cutoff Times
The race directors reserve the right to
transport to the finish area any half marathoners who have not
finished by the 4-1/2 hour mark and marathoners who have not
finished before the 9 hour mark.
Aid Stations
Aid stations providing
water and GU Brew fluid replacement drink will be located at 17
locations along the course – seven along the first 13.1 miles and
ten along the final 13.1 miles. GU energy gel will be
available to half marathoners at one location and to full
marathoners at two locations.
Race Day Logistics
All entrants must park at the
Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (usually referred to as "Riverport").
The parking lot will open at 5:00am. The Amphitheater's parking attendants will direct you
to your parking space. If you would like a bag of dry clothes,
food, etc. to be transported to the finish area while you race,
please attach to the bag the numbered luggage tag found in your race
packet and place the bag in the secure Bag Drop Area. Note:
There will be no race day packet pickup.
Beginning at 8am (starting at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater),
a fleet of more than two dozen buses will continuously shuttle
between the start and finish areas. The buses will transport
finishers back to their cars at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater after
the race. As parking is limited in downtown St. Charles,
spectators can ride the shuttles after the race start and back again
with their participant from the finish area.
Weather
Average conditions for this day are a low of 53 degrees, a high of 77 degrees,
and a humidity level of 58%.
View current conditions.
Bad Weather Policy
Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the event in case of
extreme weather or other conditions that may affect the safety and
health of the participants. Entry fees are nonrefundable unless a
named storm by the National Weather Service forces cancellation of
the race (see Money Back Hurricane Guarantee).
Money-Back Hurricane Guarantee
If the 2010 event is cancelled or shortened as a result of a
National Weather Service named
storm making race conditions unsafe, all entrants will receive a
refund of their race entry fees.
Race Shirts
All entrants will receive a commemorative
long-sleeve, wicking, non-cotton,
pill-resistant t-shirt.
Entrants who register after August 1st
are not guaranteed their shirt size.
Personalized Race Numbers
Register before August 1st
and receive a commemorative race number with your first name printed
clearly at the top – so the fans can cheer for you!
Race Timing and Awards
The Lewis & Clark events will be
timed using the DAG Timing System – a 2nd generation
“chip” system where each participant’s race number contains a
disposable identification chip. Official times will reflect
the time spent between the start line and finish line (i.e., any
time spent waiting to cross the start line will not be included in
your finish time).
Unofficial race results will be posted throughout the day on results boards located in the finish area. Official race results will be available on this website no later than Monday morning.
An awards ceremony honoring the top three overall finishers in both events will be held at the finish area at approximately 11:00am. Overall awards will be based on the actual real-time finish order, not “chip” time. Overall winners will receive plaques and split $3000 in prize money as follows:
Marathon
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $100
Half Marathon
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100
For each race, plaques will be awarded to the first three finishers in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over. Age group awards will be based on “chip” time. No age group awards will be distributed on race day. Plaques will be mailed to the winners after the race.
Medals
Medals will be awarded to every finisher in both races.
Photos
Race photos can be purchased from
Action Sports Images.

Trails for Tails
While you are waiting for your athlete to finish the
race, you and your dog can take a stroll in the park and help raise
money for a good cause! The
Trails for Tails event is based on dog lovers
who collect pledges from friends, relatives, co-workers, etc. to
"sponsor" them in the walk. The walk is a leisurely stroll around
the Lewis and Clark statue in Frontier Park in St. Charles, and
after the walk, everyone is invited to visit the vendor booths, let
your dog participate in dog games, enter him or her in one of our
contests or just enjoy the camaraderie of other pet lovers.
Thank You
